Answering questions #
There are two types of responses in IQADOT:
-
Task-based responses: These are when you accept a task to answer a question. When providing a task-based response, a due date will be assigned as your answer is a crucial part of the answering process.
-
Proactive responses: These are when you suggest a better answer to an already answered question on the network. Proactive responses are typically made without a specific due date, as they are done voluntarily.
Managing your answers #
You manage your answers from the My answers menu on the main portal page:
Stage | Description |
---|---|
Drafts | Gives a list of answers that you are working on. |
Submitted | Answers that you have submitted. Submitted answers cannot be changed anymore. |
Archived | When you are engaged in an answering process, after the process has completed or finished, your answer can be found here. |
Suggesting answers #
In order to create knowledge efficiently, actively offering improved answers to previously resolved questions can be immensely beneficial. Your proposed answer will be reviewed by a Supervisor who will determine if it is, in fact, superior to the currently accepted answer.
Before suggesting a new answer, make sure that you have examined the answer trail of the question.
Tips #
When writing your answer, it is important to be clear and easily understood. Make sure to use concise language and avoid jargon.
