Knowledge profile #
Your knowledge profile provides a comprehensive view of your expertise in various areas. Each area of expertise is associated with a channel on the IQADOT knowledge-sharing network.
To determine your expertise level in each channel, IQADOT uses a level weighing system. Depending on the network’s configuration, the adjustment of knowledge levels can be done by a Supervisor or by the users themselves.
When you access your Profile from the main portal, you will find a summarization of your overall involvement on the network.
Furthermore, for each channel you are connected to, you will find a detailed overview, including your knowledge level and other relevant information. From within each channel section, you also have the option to connect or disconnect from the channel.
Connecting and disconnecting #
In order to access and participate in a channel on the IQADOT knowledge-sharing network, you must first be connected to that specific channel.
To connect to available channels, simply click on the New connection button and search through the network for the desired channels.
Once you have successfully connected to a channel, you have the option to adjust your knowledge level. The channel will then be added to your feed on the main portal, allowing you to access its content, ask questions, and also expect to be asked questions, which means receiving task requests.
Whenever you wish to disengage from a channel, you can easily do so by clicking on the Disconnect button. Once disconnected, you will no longer interact with the channel and it will no longer be visible in your feed.
Please be aware that your bookmarked and archived items will not be affected, and you can still include channels you are disconnected from when searching for items on the network.
Closed channels #
Closed channels are channels that are restricted and cannot be accessed by users. These channels are solely managed by the network administrator. If you have been connected to a closed channel, it will automatically appear on your profile.
